The Pineapple Upside Down Cake cocktail is a sweet, fruity drink inspired by the classic dessert. It has bright tropical pineapple flavor with smooth whipped cream sweetness and a touch of cherry that mimics the topping of a real pineapple upside down cake.

The pineapple juice gives the drink a refreshing tropical base, 99 Whipped adds creamy vanilla sweetness like cake frosting, and Dr. McGillicuddy Cherry creates the signature red layer that resembles the caramelized cherry topping from the dessert.

  • 1½ oz 99 Whipped

  • 3 oz Pineapple juice

  • ½ oz Dr. McGillicuddy Cherry

  • Ice

Optional garnish:

  • Pineapple chunk

  • Maraschino cherries

INGREDIENTS

  • Fill the glass with ice

  • Pour 1½ oz 99 Whipped and 3 oz pineapple juice

  • Stir gently to combine.

  • Slowly pour ½ oz Dr. McGillicuddy Cherry down the inside of the glass.
    It will sink slightly and create the red “cake topping” layer at the bottom.

  • Add a pineapple chunk and cherries on a cocktail pick. if desired.
