The History of Aurora Liquors
Aurora Liquors is a family-owned liquor store that first opened on April 1, 1975. Kent Pearson started the business as a convenience store before expanding it to include a deli, gas pumps, and an extensive liquor selection. As the store grew, his son Brian helped manage the business while Kent also operated another local favorite, T & T Steakhouse, located just two buildings away. Kent always envisioned growing Aurora Liquors even further, and after his passing in 2014, Brian and his wife Lisa officially became owners and brought that vision to life.
Located near the Wisconsin and Upper Peninsula border, Aurora Liquors has become a go-to stop for both locals and travelers. Known for competitive prices, a large selection of craft beer, wine, spirits, and hard-to-find whiskey and specialty bottles, the store offers much more than a typical liquor store. With BP fuel, snacks, deli items, and everyday convenience products, Aurora Liquors has built a reputation as a true one-stop shop and a popular destination for parties, gatherings, and weekends up north.
the New Aurora Liquors Store
During the summer of 2016 the original store was torn down and the new store was moved into the original store's warehouse. The new store measures 5,200 square feet, has the largest beer cave in Northeastern Wisconsin and our store pays tribute to Brian's father Kent by displaying his 1957 Chevrolet stock race car from his days as a race car champion at the Norway Speedway. The newer Aurora Liquors location brings together the convenience of a neighborhood gas station with an impressive selection of a large liquor retailer, the comfort of a local deli, and friendly customer service.
